Sestini & Tozzetti
Sestino and Tozzetti are very small bricks destined mainly for paving roads and town squares.
The brick is the terracotta tile par excellence. The paving in the historical centres of cities such as Assisi, Spoleto, Montepulciano and Certaldo, to mention the most famous ones, are in Cotto Ferrone, a material which blends perfectly with the attractive shades of the original colours. However, thanks to their superior mechanical strength and their frost resistance due to the exceptional quality of the used clay, the sestino and tozzetto by Il Ferrone are utilized extensively in modern architectural projects requiring a continuity with tradition. In Italy and across the world.
The dimension, type and thickness of sestino and tozzetti vary according to how they are to be laid and depend also on the degree of heavy-duty usage and traffic they are to withstand. The incredible variety of shades lends the floors a particularly natural and dynamic aspect. The range of use is enormous: from urban design to the paving of a garden path.
